Many people are familiar with the Greek neighborhoods in Astoria, Detroit, Chicago, or Danforth in Toronto, but Philadelphia and its surrounding areas are also steeped in history—both of America's founding and the Greek-American experience, which is filled with unique, both good and bad. Where else can you savor a Philly cheesesteak alongside spanakopita while hearing a cheerful mix "Yo!" and "Yia'sou!"? For over a decade, I've shared stories about our Greek-American community through my blog for Cosmos Philly, and I'm excited to present them here, along with some new tales to enjoy.
